What data we collect

SkinScore does not require an account to browse ratings. If you accept analytics, we collect limited usage data to understand which pages and tools are useful:

  • page path and title;
  • referring domain and campaign parameters;
  • an anonymous session identifier;
  • browser user agent, screen dimensions and language;
  • country code supplied by Cloudflare;
  • interactions such as scroll depth, comparison actions and affiliate-button clicks.

We do not ask for your name, date of birth or skin diagnosis through the analytics system. An anonymous identifier can still be personal data under privacy law when it can distinguish a browser session, so we describe it here rather than calling the collection fully anonymous.

Analytics providers

  • Supabase stores first-party page-view and interaction events sent by SkinScore.
  • Google Analytics 4 provides aggregated audience and acquisition reporting.
  • Cloudflare delivers the website and supplies request-level security and country information.

Neither the Supabase trackers nor Google Analytics 4 are loaded until you select Accept in the consent banner. You can change that choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.

Affiliate redirects

When you choose a retailer, SkinScore sends the product ID, page placement, language and market to the approved affiliate network so a purchase may be attributed. We do not add your name, email address or SkinScore session identifier to the merchant URL. The retailer and affiliate network process the destination visit under their own privacy policies.

What we don't do

  • We never sell your data to third parties
  • We never share personal data with advertisers
  • We do not use Facebook Pixel or cross-site advertising profiles
  • We do not use analytics before your explicit acceptance

Why we process analytics

Consent is the basis for optional audience measurement. The site remains available if you decline. Operational request logs used for security and delivery are handled separately by Cloudflare.

Your rights (GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data. You can also withdraw analytics consent through the footer. Because analytics IDs are not tied to an account, include the relevant session details available in your browser when making a request.
