Cookie Policy

What cookies do we use?

SkinScore stores an essential consent choice and, only after you accept analytics, limited audience-measurement identifiers.

Essential cookies

  • Cookie consent preference (skinscore_cookie_consent): stores your accept/decline choice. Local storage, never sent to servers.

Analytics

  • Session tracking (sks_session_id): random identifier in sessionStorage, cleared when you close the browser.
  • UTM tracking (sks_utm): campaign parameters stored in sessionStorage for the current browser session.
  • Country cache (sks_country): Cloudflare country code stored in sessionStorage for the current session.
  • Google Analytics 4: Google may set measurement identifiers such as _ga after you accept analytics.

The Supabase first-party trackers and Google Analytics 4 load only after you accept. Declining does not block access to ratings, comparisons or articles.

What we DON'T use

  • No Facebook Pixel
  • No advertising cookies
  • No advertising profile created by SkinScore
  • No analytics before explicit acceptance

Your choices

  • Accept: we collect anonymous page view data to improve the site
  • Decline: we respect your choice, no analytics data collected
  • Change your choice: use Cookie settings in the footer at any time
  • Declining clears SkinScore's session analytics identifiers from browser storage

Data storage

First-party analytics events are stored in Supabase. Google Analytics 4 processes its own audience-measurement events. See the privacy policy for the fields, purposes and contact route.
