Affiliate disclosure

SkinScore is an independent skincare comparator. No brand pays us to appear on this site, improve a score, or earn a position in the rankings. Our only revenue comes from affiliate links: when you purchase via a partner link, the retailer pays us a commission, at no extra cost to you.

How it works

On every product page you see a "Buy on..." button. It points to a /go/<product> URL on our domain, which 302-redirects you through the Awin affiliate network to the partner site. If you complete the purchase within the cookie attribution window, Awin attributes the sale to SkinScore and the partner pays us a commission (typically 4 to 12% of the transaction).

No cookie is dropped before you click a buy button. No personal data is collected on our side (the clickref parameter only contains the product ID, never your identity).

Why our scores stay reliable

Our scoring methodology (five weighted dimensions: efficacy 30%, safety 25%, comedogenicity 20%, transparency 15%, skin-type fit 10%) is fully public and auditable. Scores are calculated by an algorithm, not a human. No affiliate partner can request a score change or a ranking adjustment.

A brand distributed by an affiliate partner can absolutely receive a D or E if its formulation warrants it. Conversely, a brand with no partnership at all can earn an A. The only thing affiliation changes is the presence of a "Buy on..." button at the bottom of the page.

Compliance

This disclosure complies with the FTC Endorsement Guides (US), the UK ASA CAP Code on affiliate marketing, the EU Directive 2005/29/EC on commercial practices, and the French Code de la consommation L121-1. Reach us at contact for any question.
