SkinScore is an independent skincare comparator. No commercial relationship can improve a score or earn a position in the rankings. Our revenue can come from affiliate links and separately labelled sponsored editorial work. When you purchase via a partner link, the retailer may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you. Commercial relationships never change a product score or ranking.

How it works

Some product pages include a "Buy on..." or "Search on..." button. It points to a /go/<product> URL on our domain, which 302-redirects you to the approved partner destination. Awin handles Stylevana and Foreo attribution. French product pages may also use the Amazon EU Associates Programme with the tracking ID getskinscore-21. Amazon is not active on the English catalog while dedicated UK and US tracking IDs remain unverified.

Amazon buttons open search results built from the scored product's brand and name. Search results do not prove the exact product, seller, format, or current availability. Check the Amazon listing before purchasing.

The affiliate redirect adds a product ID, language and button placement for attribution. It never adds your name, email address or SkinScore analytics session ID. Optional audience measurement is described separately in our privacy policy and runs only after consent.

Why our scores stay reliable

Our scoring methodology (five weighted dimensions: efficacy 30%, safety 25%, comedogenicity 20%, transparency 15%, skin-type fit 10%) is fully public and auditable. Scores are calculated by an algorithm, not a human. No affiliate partner can request a score change or a ranking adjustment.

A brand distributed by an affiliate partner can absolutely receive a D or E if its formulation warrants it. Conversely, a brand with no partnership at all can earn an A. The only thing affiliation changes is the presence of a "Buy on..." button at the bottom of the page.
